Waking up this morning to hear the news of Senator Kennedy passing was unbelievable, he was a guy I respected & admire. My hope was that he would be around to see history unfold & be able to share in the historic moment when we finally get Healthcare Reform in this nation.

My sincere sympathy goes out to the family & friends of Senator Edward “Ted” Kennedy. He was an icon, a great senator & a pioneer for this country, he leave behind a great legacy & record in the Senate. He knew what the job of a U.S. Senator was…he knew he was there to work for the American people and not the big corporations. He worked his entire career to get many legislative bills passed through the Senate, and sometimes on a bipartisan level. Today we’ve lost an icon & a patriot, but there’s one thing Senator Kennedy spent 36 years fighting for, and that is/was Universal Healthcare Coverage for all Americans… We have healthcare reform proposals making their way through the Congress right now and at some point this year, a final bill will make it to the floor for a vote; I’m sure by the time it does, Senator Kennedy successor will be in place, who I’m sure will be a Democrat, and the Senate will hold its majority… I say that to say this, Senator Edward Kennedy fought until he couldn’t fight any more for the American people & most importantly, Healthcare Reform; & the Democrats will have the power of the Congress & the White House to reform our healthcare system….In remembrance & dedication to Senator Kennedy, Healthcare Reform must be passed. Congress has ONE shot to do something that no other Congress has been able to do, & President Obama has ONE shot to do what no other President has been able to do…..Stand up to the Healthcare Industry/Lobbyist & stand up for the American people and the legacy of Senator Edward “Ted” Kennedy and pass Healthcare Reform w/ a Public Option.

RIP Senator Kennedy!!

You're going the wrong way Mr. President...Turn around

Paul Krugman Op-Ed on Obama Trust Problem http://www.nytimes.com/2009/08/21/opinion/21krugman.html?adxnnl=1&adxnnlx=1250870484-4Ikp6pPeGOEhYhuTMnVDTQ

Sen. Jon Kyl (R-Ariz.) is saying his party will not vote for Healthcare Reform:
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/08/21/kyl-i-dont-think-a-single_n_264951.html

You don't need a one page Op-Ed or a three page Op-Ed or three blogs to explain why President Obama is losing credibility, and the faith of the American people right now; he has lose so much capital/political approval in the last two months or so because he's appeasing the Republicans on one of the MOST important legislation of his agenda and that is Healthcare Reform w/ a public option(some people would prefer single payer, but...) & he's not beating the Democrats over the head with a stick like he should be doing.(maybe). His approval numbers started slipping once he started talking bipartisanship, and compromising, which they are still doing; and the American people is saying "Hey, why is this guy & the Democrats talking bipartisanship with a party that keep saying NO to everything & compromising so much? We want Healthcare Reform, We voted for change".

SurveyUSA posted an opinion poll, here it is http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/08/20/new-poll-77-percent-suppo_n_264375.html, and I don't even think ANYONE in the MSM(Mainstream media) acknowledge this poll.(Correct me if I'm wrong)

Here's the thing, I'm tired, and a majority of the American people are getting tired of this bipartisan bs, and are tired of the Healthcare Industry ripping us off, and the Politicians appeasing one another for political gain, and appeasing the lobbyist...."YOU WORK FOR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, NOT CORPORATIONS!"

77% of the People are asking, some are even pleading for another OPTION/CHOICE in Insurance....If President Obama and the Democrats screw up this ONE opportunity to get Healthcare Reform done correctly, it's over.... Who do we trust or run to then? Because it will prove that Washington works for the Corporations and don't give a damn about the People.

Primaries/Elections have consequences

I hope every Democrats or so-called Democrat(Conservative/Cooperative Democrat) in the House of Rep., the Senate & even the White House is listening to Howard Dean. The election in 2008 wasn't just to elect a Democratic majority, we voted for Change, and one of those changes was Healthcare Reform. If Healthcare Reform w/ the Public Option isn't pass this year or at least early next year; like Howard Dean and many others have pointed out.... Elections have consequences... Democrats will not be able to blame the Republicans if Healthcare Reform isn't pass. They control the Congress and the White House… Bipartisanship is a load of BS. The Progressive and Moderate movement of this nation will come full force to bring down the Democrats that votes against Healthcare Reform with a public option.

I’ve been wrong before, and I could be wrong now..but when I read what Howard Dean pointed out today, I must agree that there will be primaries for democrats and those primaries will bring consequences in 2010.

This is NOT Healthcare Reform

Today, Sunday, August 9, 2009, Sen. Dick Durbin(D-Ill.) said on CNN's "State of the Union" that while he supported a government-run option for insurance, he was "open" to alternatives. "Open to alternatives", why Sen. Durbin....are you looking for bipartisanship to like the so-called "Blue Dogs" or "Conservative Democrats"? Are you paid and brought by the Healthcare Industry to?

The thing is, we need a bill passed with a strong Public Option, otherwise it won't be Healthcare Reform, it'll be some crap that don't fix the overall problem in the Healthcare sector of our economy; prices will continue to rise, the heathcare industry will still continue to make billion of dollars off the back of average Americans, and us the American people will be the ones suffering now & in the long run. I've said it before and I will say it again; the Democrats don't need the Republicans to pass a strong heathcare bill with the Public Option, the Democrats "owns" the White House and the Congress, they have the power of reconciliation, meaning they could pass a healthcare bill with only 51 votes in the Senate. They have the power to give the American people the Change we vote for. But I can assure you, if Healthcare Reform isn't pass this year, or even as early Spring of 2010, the Democrats will suffer the fury of the Progressives and the Moderates come the primary in 2010, and President Obama will probably suffer the same fate in 2012 if the run for reelection. It's time for the Democrats to "grow a pair" and grow a spine and push Healthcare through, or in 2010, some, if not the majority of them will lose their jobs, and if that fate brings a Republican control Senate, House, or Both; Nothing will get accomplish for the next three years of the Obama administration, because the Republicans will fight him tooth and nail on every issue as they are doing presently....and the "minority" Democrats will be once again, spineless to fight back.

Now don't get me wrong, and I don't want us to get ahead of ourselves, the fight on Healthcare is still going, and we still have a long fight ahead of us...but a bill without a strong Public Option to compete with the Healthcare Industry is NOT Healthcare Reform....It's a load of bs.
